MUSICAL CAREER
Ivan Petrov's musical education began at a young age when he attended a music high school and won various international competitions. After graduating from high school, he continued his musical career at the University of Music in Mainz under Prof. Felix Löffler.
Ivan Petrov regularly performs as a chamber musician and orchestral musician in Germany, Spain, Italy, Bulgaria and Switzerland. He has played on some of the largest European stages, including the NDR Elbphilharmonie, the Cologne Philharmonie and others. He has also organized chamber music concerts for clarinet and piano in Germany and Bulgaria. In 2019 he played a chamber music concert that was broadcast live on Deutschlandfunk. He has also made recordings with the Bulgarian National Radio.
Over the years, Ivan Petrov has played as a soloist with various Bulgarian orchestras, including the Philharmonic of the National Theatre of Ruse and the Burgas Philharmonic. He played Aaron Copland's Clarinet Concerto as a soloist on an international tour of the Laubenheim Chamber Music Ensemble.
He has also received the Deutschlandstipendium for outstanding musical achievements. He is also a scholarship holder of the Ernst von Siemens Foundation, the GVL and the Association of Friends of Young Musicians.
